Humor and Caring

By: Rick Clark

Stephens humor was indeed apparent to everyone. Within minutes of the first time my wife and I met him, he had us both rolling on the floor in laughter. Not only was his material very funny but his delivery was spot on. We both commented that he should seriously consider at least a side gig as a stand up comic.
I also would like to share an excerpt from a text Stephen sent me a couple of months ago while his dad was recovering from a surgery.

Rick, thanks for being such a friend to my father. He was so happy you had come to see him today. I expect you know how difficult it can be for grown men to make new friends, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you and my dad mean to each other. Thanks for your mentorship, I don't know if we would have taken the leap we did a year ago without your council. I would like to catch up with you and tell you all about our adventure. Consider me in your debt, and excited to get roasted this summer while proving I am the worst golfer you have ever met. Humbly, Steve Smith

I never got the chance to confirm how his golf game was. Knowing how fantastic of a husband, father, son and brother he was, I think I was being set up.
